INGREDIENTS
- 1 Cup Della Basmati Brown Rice
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 Tbsp Creole seasoning
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 celery stalks, chopped
- 2-3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 ¾ cups beef broth
- 1 Tsp of salt
- 1/2 Tsp of pepper
- 1 tbsp Green Onions as Garnish
Step 1
- Brown ground beef in a pot or large skillet over medium high heat, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon or spatula. Cook until there is no more pink, about 5 minutes.
Step 2
- Add in onions, bell pepper, celery, garlic and Creole seasoning. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring until veggies start to soften.
- Stir in broth and deglaze the pan. Add rice and bay leaves, and mix well.
Step 3
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer covered about 25 minutes. Then take pot off onto a trivet and let rest covered for 5-10 minites or until rice is cooked.
Step 4
- Serve with green onions and enjoy!
