HOW TO PREPARE DELLA RICE

Della Gourmet White Basmati Rice

1 cup uncooked rice
1 3/4 to 2 cups water
1 teaspoon salt (optional)
1 teaspoon butter or margarine (optional)

Combine all the ingredients in a 2 to 3 qt. saucepan. Heat to boiling; stir once or twice. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15 minutes. If rice is not quite tender or liquid is not absorbed, replace lid and cook 2 to 4 minutes longer. Fluff with fork. Let stand (covered) 5 minutes longer. Makes approximately 3 cups cooked rice.
Della Gourmet Brown Basmati Rice

1 cup uncooked rice
2 1/4 cups water
1 teaspoon salt (optional)

If rice is not quite tender or liquid is not absorbed, replace lid and cook 2 to 4 minutes longer. Fluff with fork. Let stand (covered) 5 minutes longer. Makes approximately 3 cups cooked rice.
Della Gourmet Jasmine Rice
1 cup uncooked rice
2 1/4 cups water
1 teaspoon salt (optional)

Della Gourmet Koshihikari (Sushi) Rice

1 cup uncooked rice
2 cups water

Bring 2 cups of water in pot to boil. Add 1 cup of Della Gourmet Koshihikari rice. Stir, cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes. Do not lift lid during cooking. Stand covered for 5 minutes until water is absorbed.
