DELLA BROWN BASMATI HONEY PUDDING

Della Brown Basmati Rice
Boiling Water
Salt
Honey
Seedless Dark Raisins
Butter or Margarine
Powdered Cinnamon
Lemon Juice
Heavy Cream
Eggs
Vanilla

2 1/4 Cups
1 Teaspoon
3/4 Cup
1/2 Cup
1 Teaspoon
1 Teaspoon
1 Teaspoon

1 Egg
1 Teaspoon

1. Combine Della Brown Basmati Rice, boiling
water and salt in sauce pan
2. Cover tightly and cook with low heat for approximately 25 minutes
or until the water is absorbed fully into the rice and rice is soft
to the touch
3. Pre Heat oven to 325 degrees
4. Grease casserole dish with butter (approximately 1 quart dish)
5. Pour Honey into a sauce pan and boil until honey appears lightly
brown
6. Whip the egg thoroughly with heavy cream
7. Stir in rice, raisins, butter, cinnamon, lemon juice, vanilla and
heavy cream/egg mixture
8. Combine the rice, raisin, butter, cinnamon, lemon juice, vanilla,
heavy cream/egg mixture with honey
9. Pour entire mixture into the greased casserole dish and bake for
20-25 minutes or until the top is lightly browned. |
